When I try to argue with myself to tell me that I should be more satisfied or optimistic, I discover a little battle.

I usually start exclaiming, well if I'm content I'll never improve, or if I'm overly optimistic I'll make mistakes.

The thing is, why have a pessimistic and discontent bias.

Whenever confronted with incomplete information, which is the majority of the cases, we don't depend on our rational thinking but our biases.

Choose your biases wisely. I think I'm going to try to shift my bias toward tone of optimism.

(err, toward one of optimism, is what I meant)
