I spend about 10 hours a day on the Internet which goes back n' forth between AIM and web surfing.

If I could take all that time I spend web surfing and put it on the web, that would be interesting.

I probably go through 100 links in a day, one or two of which are golden gems, five to ten of which contain nice photos worth archiving, a couple that have incredible insight, etc..

If i could process that and churn it over, that would be interesting

If the process was in real-time, people would be able to watch me surf the Net.

this doesn't sound interesting at first, but if you think about it, you get to watch this sponge as it soaks up, and by your observation, you participate in a transfer process similar to the brain.

Futurists and scientists are lauding the ways in which brain capacity has expanded between human evolution into the evolution of the written word and then computers.

What I see, in addition to that, is a recursive set of brains being formed.

Every cell has a brain (nucleus)

Some cells become neurons in a larger brain

and we are now neurons in an even larger group mind of the Internet.

Me putting a hyperlink or referencing a book I read is equivalent to the connection between axons and dendrites in neurons.

Human society is one large brain under construction.

What is the brain to do? who knows.

s'till a mystery.
