I was excited taking this Primate Evolution course as I was doing close readings of the text book and also enhancing my knowledge base by Googling around for pictures and background info.
I was so excited that I started dreaming of gonig to Madagascar, an island off the coast of Southeastern Africa in the Indian Ocean which is a secluded haven for primates.
However, after having to write this ten page paper, I realize that this was just my initial motivation.
When it comes to academics, I find I'm excited by the prospect of gaining new understanding. Once I have internalized whatever systemic insight I can get from my classes, I immediately lose interest. This makes sense, though, because really I don't plan on writing papers on academic stuff, all I want from education is to get wittier.
